Parasols and umbrellas have been around for thousands of years during the 16th century and Early Victorian Era. I was always fascinated how it evolved into a woman's fashion item. It was so well designed to match their promenade dresses and always so feminine and classy, but mostly created to protect nobility and royalty from sunlight.
Parasols and umbrellas continue to be seen in our modern times today and I always enjoyed using them for shows and costumes during my younger years. My goal is to make them interesting, fun and affordable to use when you need to go to work, school or somewhere special. Even young children can get inspired to create their own and join in on the fun. I treat my parasols like if they were a canvas and I always look forward to bringing mine along on a cloudy, rainy and sunny day to spruce up my styling. It's like adding a piece of art to compliment any outfit or accessory with yet a more playful, graceful and whimsical side.
Sometimes it rains, and it drizzles, so don't let the drops get in the way of putting a damper to a dress up day or keep you from going out along the way!!!!!
The sunshine will follow and we may need to protect ourselves from those UV rays!!!!
Remember rain is grace, be positive the rainbows will follow.
Coordinate your outfits and raincoats and give it a fashion sense and don't forget to add some brightness to your summer styles.
Did I mention the parasols and umbrellas make a great addition to photos!!!!!!
